About Me
My name is Medha Khurana. Originally, I am from Delhi, India and currently, I live in London, UK. I love delving into the world of data and making sense of it. I am passionate about data analytics and data visualization. I love to spend time on my personal development and constantly endeavour to keep learning something new. Beyond the data landscape, you'll find me embracing tranquillity through yoga and cultivating a green sanctuary of plants (You can peep into my home garden on Instagram @paa_paradise)
My Journey
Born to a traditional Indian household, I have had the fortune of being raised by a progressive family. My paternal grandmother taught Mathematics at an age when women in India didn’t even get to go to school. My parents have inspired me every day of my life, to push my limits and chase my dreams. As a result of which I always put my heart into what I do and try to be a better version of myself with every passing day.
Here is a little sneak peek of my milestones so far.
I did my undergrad in Computer Science Engineering. During that time, I also wrote two research papers, both published at IEEE conferences. Post that I worked as a Software Engineer for 2 years in a leading technology firm in India. I soon realised that I was more passionate about data analytics than development. At that time I had some skills and experience in the field, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. So, I thought to formally enrol myself into a degree that can provide me with a solid foundation to build my data career on.
That decision was the turning point in my life. It led to a major transition in my journey, both personally and professionally. It was a scary decision at the time given I had lived at home for 24 years of my life. But today I can proudly say that it was the best decision I made.
I did my Master's in Business Analytics at Warwick Business School, UK in 2021. The course equipped me with proficiency in subjects like Advanced Data Analytics, Business Statistics, Data Management, Forecasting and a lot more.
This enabled me to secure a job as an Associate Consultant in the Data & Analytics capability of Capco, which is a financial consulting firm in London. I worked on several amazing data analytics and visualization projects at Capco in sustainability, insurance and capital markets with some great people.
Currently, I am working as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at JLL. I am one of those lucky people who can say "I love my job". It drives more passion in me each day and fuels me with the energy to become good to great.
Well, that's enough of me rambling about me. Below are some testimonials from the incredible leaders I work with or have worked with in the past. The people who have a big role in shaping my relationship with the data.
