How to Makeover Your LinkedIn Profile with Notebook LM

Now that we understand the cool features of Notebook LM and its capabilities, lets see it in action and use it to improve LinkedIn Profile.

Since Notebook LM relies only on the documents provided, we first need to collect some sources on what a great Instagram Profile looks like.

Step 1: Gather your Sources

This is the single most important step when using Notebook LM. You should spend time gathering high-quality resources that define what a great LinkedIn profile looks like because the answers will be provided based on those.

For this task, I curated sources focused on making LinkedIn profiles professional, attractive, and recruiter-optimized. A list of these sources is included at the end of this blog.

Step 2: Input them in Notebook LLM

Now let's create a new notebook and then input the sources one by one in the Notebook.

Note: If a source (like a LinkedIn link) throws an error, save it as a PDF and upload it instead.

Step 3: Write your prompt

Here’s an example prompt I used:

How can I improve my LinkedIn Profile based on the sources provided? My LinkedIn profile has been provided in a PDF format called 'Medha Khurana LinkedIn'

Feel free to customize the prompt based on your needs.

Notebook LM then generated actionable and relevant feedback tailored to my LinkedIn profile, almost like having a mentor review it.

Each suggestion was linked to a specific source, saving time and allowing for deeper exploration of any topic.

Step 4: Generate a podcast

One of Notebook LM’s most attractive features (not necessarily the most effective though) is its ability to create an audio overview of your task and listen to it in the form of an engaging podcast.

Here I clicked on the Customise button to let the tool know what I want the AI hosts to exactly focus on.

You can also adjust the playback speed, and even download the Podcast.

Step 5: Interact with AI Hosts

One of the most exciting features is the ability to join the podcast in real-time and ask specific questions. For example, I clicked on 'Join' and asked, “How can I create a custom URL for my LinkedIn Profile?” The AI hosts welcomed me enthusiastically and provided clear, actionable guidance. While the audio feature isn’t flawless and occasionally includes inaccuracies, its innovative approach and potential are truly impressive.
